FREE Electricity from the Sun!
Solar panels use solar energy to power your home. Solar PV transforms sunlight into electricity which then powers your property. The sun is a form of clean energy which can be transformed into renewable electricity.
How does Solar PV work?
Solar PV systems are made from solar cells - which are layers of semiconducting materials. When sunlight hits the cells, electrons are knocked which causes electricity to be produced.
They work in all weathers! They do not require direct sunlight. However, the more sunlight which is produced, the more electricity is generated. Energy leaves the panel, goes through an inverter and transforms into electricity.
Solar PV cells can be grouped into modules, which can then be grouped into solar arrays. They are usually fitted to your roof, but they can also be installed in the ground or solar tiles. We have a variety of sizes and shapes to suit your space.
The amount of electricity that is produced is dependent on many variables including sunlight, shading and orientation. Usually, it generates between 700 and 900 KWh per KWp annually.
